PAIK WonDam (Director of IEAS / Professor of Dept. of Chinese Studies, SungKongHoe Univ. )
currently is an associate professor of Department Chinese Studies, Sungkonghoe University. She received her PhD at the department of Chinese language and literature in Yonsei University. She is the director of Institute for East Asian Studies, the Chairman of planning-executive committee of ‘Forum for Cultural Community in East- Asia(EACC)’ and has been working as an editor of Hwanghae Review and The Radical Review (Jinbo Review). She was a visiting scholar of Asian Studies and Weatherhead East Asian Institute of Columbia University. She has also joined in lots of socio-cultural activities for constructing alternative society, as a member of National Association of Professors for Democratic Society, a member of Korean Professors Union and one of the founders of “Newscham.net”, Korean People’s online newspaper. Her research concern is alternative regionalism and cultural solidarity across Asia. She has organized many international conferences and published many books and articles about East Asian literature and culture.
